Estimate your first-year cost

Treatment cost calculator

If ADHD is diagnosed and medication is appropriate
  • Adult ADHD assessment (16+) — online£499
  • Titration reviews × 4 (prescriptions included)£796
  • Ongoing monitoring × 2 (every 6 months)£198
  • Shared care agreement letter (one-off)£150
Estimated first-year total£1,643

This is an estimate, not a quote. It excludes the cost of the medicine itself (charged by the pharmacy). Medication, titration, shared care and repeat prescriptions are only offered where clinically appropriate, and shared care is at your GP's discretion. Repeat-prescription months assume titration takes about 3 months.

What is included in the assessment fee?

  • Pre-assessment questionnaires for you and an informant
  • Clinical assessment with a specialist (2–3 hours adult; 2.5–3.5 hours child)
  • Structured interview (DIVA-5 for adults)
  • Review of school reports and collateral information
  • Written clinical report
  • 30-minute follow-up call

Costs after diagnosis

If ADHD is diagnosed and medication is clinically appropriate, typical additional costs are several titration reviews over two to four months (£199 per review, with prescriptions included), the cost of the medicine itself from the pharmacy, then ongoing monitoring at £99 per 6 months — and, if your NHS GP agrees to shared care, a £150 shared care agreement letter reviews. Not everyone chooses or is suitable for medication.

How to compare ADHD assessment prices

Headline prices can hide differences. When comparing providers, check:

  • Who conducts the assessment and their registration
  • Whether the written report is included
  • Whether collateral/school information is reviewed
  • Follow-up and aftercare costs
  • Titration and prescription fees
  • Refund and cancellation policy

Refunds and cancellations

You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your appointment for a full refund. Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. The fee is for the assessment, not the outcome — it is not refundable based on whether a diagnosis is made.

Frequently asked questions

Is the report included?

Yes. The written report and follow-up call are included in both assessment fees.

Is medication included?

No. Titration (with prescriptions included) and monitoring are separate and only offered where clinically appropriate.

Can I pay in instalments?

Instalment options are planned. Payment is made in full when you book; we do not currently offer instalments. Please speak to our team if cost is a barrier.

Does private health insurance cover ADHD assessment?

Some policies do. Check with your insurer before booking and ask whether they require a GP referral.

Do I get a refund if I'm not diagnosed?

No — you are paying for a comprehensive clinical assessment, and not meeting criteria is a valid outcome.

How much is ADHD medication privately?

Our prescriptions during titration are included in the titration review cost; the pharmacy charges for the medicine itself. Costs vary by medicine and dose.

Is an NHS assessment free?

Yes, NHS assessments are free at the point of use. Waiting times vary by area.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Every fee is listed on this page.
